In December 2016, one of the largest construction companies in Lithuania “Conresta” has signed a contract with Palanga Municipality for the construction of the city’s swimming pool.

A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS
The long awaited 3500 sq. m. project went through several stages until its vision was clarified and it was decided that more resources would be devoted to pool functionality and technology. This is why the traditional European architectural solutions has been chosen – an impressive facade that changes in appearance at different times of the day. The planning and aesthetic solutions were made considering the difficult climatic conditions, so the selected quality materials allow to withstand the strong impact of sea salt.
To maximize the building’s energy efficiency, the pool is equipped with solar panels and innovative water treatment principles: filters filled with nano glass pearls and textile water ventilation equipment (which prevents moisture, mold and dust).
The Palanga swimming pool has a time recording system with separate light and touch panels, swimming lane ropes with wave-fighting equipment and launch towers with integrated sensors for water jumps. The youngest visitors haven’t been forgotten as well and have a separate 13-meter, three-track swimming pool. The wellness area has two (125 sq. m. and 18 sq. ft. m.) swimming pools for adults and children with dozens of recreational facilities, massage systems and modern lighting. The pool area has a 150-seat grandstand for spectators, cabinets for coaches, medical staff and referees. Also, about 15 people can enjoy the 22 sq. m. Jacuzzi at a time. Next to it you will find five showers, two state-of-the-art steam baths and one bath with a natural Himalayan salt wall.

The wellness center is equipped with saunas, wellness pools for children and adults, Jacuzzis, massage rooms, gym, changing rooms and a public sauna for the residents of Palanga. The pool has eight 25-meter-long tracks that qualify for FINA and a grandstand for spectators.
The technology is fully automated and all data can be easily transferred to a computer. The modern nano-filtration system is used to remove chloramines. The project also includes the construction of a swimming pool for toddlers and children aged 7 and above.
