Construction start:
2014 10
Construction period:
9 months
Project area:
6 300 m2
Area of probiotic laboratory:
693,92 m2
As a foundation for new probiotic production, Grainmore acquired and remodeled the old building and increased its volume, technological floors were additionally installed. There are different probiotic production facilities in these spaces: raw material and offal preparation, extrusion and fermentation, packaging, industrial crop laboratory, boiler room, warehouse, etc. Professionals working in this renewed plant use state-of-the-art methods to create probiotic mixtures with unique properties. New grain reception points, storage towers, production lines and bacterial growth laboratories were installed. Production management is fully automated.
The main building structure areas include the reinforced concrete columns, beams, and slabs of the former building. The new extension to the existing building is the mill: a six-story annexe with prefabricated reinforced concrete columns, not-beamed reinforced concrete cover and prefabricated metal roof.
As per the factory requirements, high quality materials such as acrylic flooring with skirting and hygienic wall panels with insulating layer were used. These materials were used to provide the cleanest possible spaces necessary for laboratories and food production facilities. The exterior is characterized by two main colors – white and anthracite gray.
There is also a modern boiler room that uses the fuel produced by the factory itself (waste from grain processing) to heat the entire plant and produce the fuel needed for the plant’s operation. Compressor and server compressed air production facilities were installed. It controls the lighting, security system, access control and other functions throughout the building. There is also a gas storage and ventilation chambers with powerful fans that can purify the dust generated during production and supply clean air to the lab.
The plant is equipped with a modern BIO boiler plant, which uses waste from grain processing as fuel, thus the production cycle is zero waste. The mill currently processes oats, wheat, peas, barley, triticale, rye. Raw materials are supplied to the retail and wholesale markets.
The facilities are suitable for the following services:
- Production intake
- Quality evaluation
- Weighing
- Unloading
- Drying
- Cleaning
- Storage
- Issuance
