“Conresta” has been awarded two gold medals at the “Lithuanian Product of the Year 2016” awards

“Conresta” participated in the “Lithuanian Product of the Year 2016” competition for the first time and was awarded two gold medals. Two projects implemented by the company, UNIQ Business Center and Palanga Concert Hall, were nominated for the Building and Building Materials Industry Group. Nominees were presented by Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis. The awards organized by the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists since 1997 have been recognized by the business community and considered to be among the most important in the country. The main aim of the competition, which annually evaluates the production and services of Lithuanian companies, is to increase the competitiveness of high-quality Lithuanian products, encouraging the choice of a quality Lithuanian product, thus motivating the Lithuanian business development.

Building an environmentally friendly business center

UNIQ Business Center presents the green trends in business offices: sustainability and attention to the landscape, energy and material saving, and social responsibility. The 10,500 sq. m. facility located next to the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania meets one of the most well-known and most respected standards in the world. The highest possible LEED Platinum certification for the design and construction of this center was granted for the first time in the Baltic States.

The business center was built on the site of an old, demolished object, thus naturally blending into the environment. During the construction, most of the waste was recycled. The UNIQ monolithic frame is reinforced with scrap steel. The building has an unusual U-shape, making the most of natural indoor lighting. The integrated building management system (BMS) has reduced the energy consumption. The building is equipped with three power-regenerating elevators and state-of-the-art and energy-efficient luminaires.

Modern multipurpose concert hall

The implementation of the Palanga Concert Hall project is the company’s contribution to cultural and scientific activities in Palanga. The reconstruction of the Palanga Summer Stage, entrusted took 23 months. At the end of 2015, a new Palanga Concert Hall, featuring ultra-modern technology, was opened. The building is distinguished by its elaborate facade, covered with a low-staining white plaster.

The technological uniqueness of Palanga Concert Hall construction is the powerful electro-acoustic system and the orchestra pit that transforms stage and audience spaces and elevates them to various levels. These are the basic tools for transforming the 2200-seat hall in the fastest and most efficient way according to the genre of the event or the requirements of the performer. The digitized electro-acoustic system of the Baltic region, which is of a very high standard and has no such analogues, is adapted for performances of different genres of music.

“This is the first time we have participated in the Product of the Year competition, and we are particularly proud of this double recognition. That is the merit of our entire team. This year we paid special attention to process management, technological innovations and implementation of modern management methods in the company. The fact that our efforts and innovative solutions were repeatedly evaluated in 2016 motivates us to push forward. We are delighted to have the opportunity to apply our expertise in building objects of public interest and creating quality spaces for present and future generations,” commented Lukas Laukaitis, the CEO of Conresta.
